Impauer Technologies announced on October 27 that its PauerOne Wallet V1 browser extension has gone live in the Google Chrome Web Store, extending its self-custody crypto wallet beyond previously released Android and web applications. The publicly listed software company says the extension can connect with decentralized applications and manage several blockchain assets from a browser.
In its October 27 company announcement, Impauer described support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and additional networks. It also promotes cross-chain swapping and wallet access based on conventional recovery phrases or multiparty-computation technology.
Browser extension expands wallet access
According to the company, the Chrome extension is designed to connect directly with Web3 applications without requiring users to relay connections through another mobile device. Browser-based access could be convenient for decentralized finance users, but it also makes extension permissions and malicious site interactions important security considerations.
The company had announced PauerOne’s commercial release on October 15, when browser-store approvals remained pending. The October 27 announcement is the later availability update, not the initial product launch.
MPC and seed-phrase options described
Impauer says the extension offers Google-linked sign-in using multiparty-computation key-sharing, alongside conventional 12-word seed-phrase recovery and hardware biometric options. Those are company-described capabilities. Users should establish which recovery arrangements apply to their chosen setup, who controls signing shares and how accounts can be restored if access is lost.
Using the phrase ‘non-custodial’ does not eliminate the risks of phishing, malicious browser extensions or approving harmful blockchain transactions. The company has not presented a third-party security-audit finding in the October 27 release.
Distribution approval is not a security guarantee
Chrome Web Store availability indicates that a browser extension has passed a platform distribution process. It is not equivalent to an independent audit of private-key handling, smart contract integrations or the vendor’s security controls.
Impauer says iOS and further browser-extension approvals, including Edge and Safari, remain in progress. It also plans paid commercial features in future versions, but provided no figures demonstrating wallet adoption or transaction volume.
Why users should verify the publisher
Before installing any crypto wallet extension, users should navigate to the provider’s official website, confirm the developer identity on the download listing and treat unsolicited recovery requests as suspicious. A new wallet interface should not require users to reveal existing secret recovery phrases to an unrelated support agent.
