BBLOCKBRIEFING
ACCOUNTABILITY & ACCURACY

Corrections Policy

We work to keep BlockBriefing reporting accurate and clear. When a reader points out a material factual error, we review the evidence and correct the story as promptly as practical.

Tell us what needs correcting

When contacting the newsroom, identify the article, provide its URL, explain the specific statement you believe is wrong, and include reliable supporting documentation where possible. General disagreement with an article’s conclusions is not, by itself, evidence of a factual error.

How the newsroom checks your request

  • We review the claim and the evidence supplied.
  • Where practical, we check the original documents, data or statements.
  • If a material error is confirmed, we correct the article and add a note explaining the change when appropriate.
  • If the evidence does not support a correction, we may leave the article unchanged.

When we publish an update or clarification

New developments may warrant an update even when the original article was accurate at the time of publication. We aim to distinguish a later update from a correction of an earlier error.

Please use the contact method listed on our Contact page to submit a correction request.
