DMG Blockchain Solutions said on October 31, 2026, that its operations, affiliates and client assets were not affected by the security incident involving cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The Canadian digital-asset infrastructure company issued the statement alongside an update on its US patent portfolio.

In a company-issued press release distributed through GlobeNewswire, DMG said its approach to security includes restricted access, separation of responsibilities and multiple levels of transaction approval.

Company describes layered asset-protection controls

DMG said these controls are intended to prevent a compromised device from giving one person sufficient authority to start, approve and complete an unauthorized transfer. The statement was made against the backdrop of Binance’s reported $6.3 billion security incident, which has intensified scrutiny of digital-asset custody systems.

The company’s assurances concern its own operations and client assets. They do not constitute an independent assessment of every blockchain service provider, nor do they imply that future incidents are impossible. No independent audit of DMG’s systems was presented in the statement reviewed for this report.

Patents form part of the same update

DMG also highlighted its development of intellectual property relating to institutional blockchain infrastructure. The company said it received two US patents during 2026 and described work spanning compliance, network verification and transaction routing.

Patents describe protected inventions and do not, on their own, establish commercial adoption, profitability or the effectiveness of a company’s cybersecurity controls. Investors should distinguish these separate claims when evaluating the announcement.

Context of the Binance incident

In its October 30 security update, Binance said it had allocated corporate and SAFU resources to cover affected customers, while its investigation and withdrawal-restoration work continued. The exchange also stated it had not found evidence of wallet private-key leakage at that point.

DMG’s October 31 statement therefore serves as a company-specific response to an industry-wide event rather than a new finding about the cause of the Binance breach.

Source note: DMG’s operational and patent claims are attributed to its October 31 company press release. Binance incident details are attributed to Binance’s published update.
