Securitize announced plans on October 28 to integrate the Stellar network into its tokenization infrastructure, expanding blockchain options for institutional asset managers issuing and administering tokenized financial products.
According to the company’s announcement, the proposed integration was unveiled alongside Meridian 2026, the Stellar Development Foundation’s annual conference in Lisbon.
Stellar becomes a planned infrastructure option
The arrangement is designed to make Stellar available for future issuance and management of tokenized financial instruments through Securitize. The firm supplies technology and regulated services for tokenized assets, allowing institutions to select blockchain infrastructure based on operational requirements.
Securitize identified Stellar’s asset issuance and settlement capabilities as reasons for expanding to the network. The announcement did not confirm a newly launched Securitize-managed fund on Stellar or provide a specific launch date for the integration.
Institutional demand shapes the strategy
Co-founder and CEO Carlos Domingo pointed to Stellar’s existing real-world asset ecosystem and growing institutional interest in tokenization. Stellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon welcomed the addition of Securitize as a potential provider of infrastructure for asset managers.
The integration supports Securitize’s multichain approach. Tokenized products may differ in custody, regulatory restrictions, investor eligibility and distribution model even if they ultimately settle on a public blockchain.
What investors should watch
At this stage, the integration remains a plan rather than a completed product launch. It does not automatically make tokenized securities available to all retail users, nor does it establish that any named investment fund will use the new integration.
The next measurable developments would include a confirmed technical rollout, details of supported asset types and announcements from institutions that choose to issue products through Securitize on Stellar.
BlockBriefing recently covered a separate Nasdaq-100 tokenized fund associated with Janus Henderson and Stellar. That product is independent of today’s Securitize integration announcement.
