Binance will retain a 50% taker-fee discount for VIP 4 through VIP 9 customers trading eligible traditional-finance-linked perpetual futures, reversing a reduction that had been scheduled for November 5, 2026. The exchange said the proposed cut to 40% will not take effect and the existing promotion will continue until further notice.

In its November 4 fee announcement, Binance said the update supersedes its October 28 notice. The discount is measured against the standard USDT market price and chart perpetual-futures taker fee and applies to specified TradFi Perps users, rather than every futures contract or all exchange customers. Availability may vary by jurisdiction.

Discounts differ by VIP membership tier

Regular users through VIP 3 will continue to receive a 20% taker-fee discount for the eligible instruments. The higher 50% discount remains available to VIP 4–9 customers. Binance said the promotional period began on March 31, 2026 at 02:00 UTC and currently has no fixed ending date.

Under the published table, the eligible taker fee is 0.0400% for regular accounts, 0.0150% for VIP 4 and 0.0085% for VIP 9. The table also shows lower effective taker rates when the listed 10% discount for paying with BNB market price and chart applies: 0.0360%, 0.0135% and 0.0077%, respectively. These are rates for the stated promotional schedule, not a universal fee guarantee.

The announcement lists zero maker fees across the applicable tiers. It also notes that qualified market makers and participants in separate USDⓈ-M futures programs may have additional or different applicable benefits, subject to the programs’ rules.

Lower fees do not remove futures risk

A taker order executes against liquidity already posted in the order book, a distinction also relevant to other cryptocurrency perpetual-futures offerings, while a maker order adds liquidity when it remains available for others to trade against. Lower taker fees can reduce transaction costs for frequent traders, but they do not prevent losses from market moves.

Slippage, funding payments, spread costs and leverage can affect the final result of a position. A small trading-fee saving may be outweighed by an unfavorable fill or liquidation. Customers should review the exact contract specifications and their account-level fee schedule before placing trades.

TradFi perpetual futures offer exposure to price movements in traditional-market-linked assets through derivative contracts. Their margin and funding mechanics are not equivalent to owning the underlying asset. The instruments can carry different trading restrictions and product risk disclosures from spot cryptocurrency purchases.

What Binance users should check

The announced reversal is specific: the 50% discount for VIP 4–9 eligible TradFi perpetual traders remains in place, and the originally scheduled November 5 change is canceled. No new expiration date was provided. Binance reserves the ability to amend the promotion under its terms.

The exchange has been expanding market-linked derivatives, including equity and ETF-linked perpetual contracts. Traders should confirm that the precise instrument and account level they intend to use fall within this notice rather than assuming identical fees across the platform.

Binance’s official notice is the source for the rates and dates reported here. Users in restricted regions should not infer that the announcement authorizes access to futures products where local rules or the platform’s eligibility requirements prohibit them.
