Bitcoin market price and chart traded near $75,600 on Saturday as Michaël van de Poppe argued that its recovery against gold was already under way, while Crypto Tony looked for a rebound over the weekend.
The bullish views came after a sharp midweek reversal left Bitcoin below its recent highs. A Bitstamp BTC/USD snapshot recorded $75,617.14 at 16:48:46 UTC on November 7, little changed over 24 hours. Its reported rolling range was $75,400.25 to $76,143.75. Neither analyst’s post establishes that a sustained dollar-price recovery has begun.
Bitcoin Trades Below Recent Highs Despite Stabilizing Prices
Bitstamp’s daily candles show the extent of the recent damage. Bitcoin closed November 4 at $80,434.13, then finished November 5 at $75,971.22, a decline of roughly 5.5%. The November 6 session reached $74,761.63 before closing at $75,746.53.
Saturday’s steadier trading therefore followed a selloff rather than a confirmed recovery of the lost ground. A relatively flat 24-hour change can obscure the larger decline across several sessions.

The TradingView snapshot shows Bitcoin retreating from an intraday peak above $76,100 toward the lower end of its displayed range. Its displayed last price differs slightly from the later exchange snapshot because the observations were taken at different times.
Van de Poppe Frames Bitcoin Against Gold Instead
In his November 7 post, van de Poppe said: “Bitcoin is already in a bull market compared to gold.” His argument focused on relative performance: Bitcoin’s apparent strength depends partly on the asset used to measure it.
He compared the current phase with the beginning of the 2023–2024 crypto advance and favored exposure to Bitcoin and the wider crypto market. He also expected further upside, presenting the move as an early stage of a cycle rather than a mature rally.
That view did not amount to a permanent buy-and-hold recommendation. Van de Poppe also argued that investors would eventually need to reduce Bitcoin exposure when it became expensive relative to other assets. His thesis combines a bullish allocation preference today with the possibility of rotating away at a later valuation extreme.

The chart uses a relative benchmark, so its recovery pattern does not establish a reversal in Bitcoin’s dollar price.
Crypto Tony Looks For A Weekend Bitcoin Rebound
Crypto Tony offered a shorter-term view in his November 7 update: “I am looking for the move up over the weekend.”
His accompanying chart uses Bybit’s BTCUSDT perpetual contract on the one-hour timeframe. It marks a five-part decline and then a tight cluster of candles around 75,900
USDT market price and chart. Horizontal reference lines sit near 77,000 and 79,300 USDT, above the consolidation.

The setup is a rebound scenario following a steep decline. Reclaiming the first marked area would provide a stronger sign of recovery than simply moving sideways below it. A renewed break beneath the recent lows would challenge that interpretation.
Tony’s post did not specify a stop, entry condition or numerical price target. His derivative chart also should not be treated as interchangeable with the Bitstamp dollar spot market: the venue, instrument and capture time differ.
DeFiLlama Shows Bitcoin TVL Holding Around Four Billion
DeFiLlama’s Bitcoin dashboard put DeFi total value locked at approximately $4.036 billion on November 7, up 0.17% over 24 hours. It also displayed 706,860 active addresses and 421,588 transactions over its reported 24-hour window.
The provider’s historical Bitcoin TVL series recorded $4.0356 billion for November 7 at 00:00 UTC, about 1.88% below its October 31 observation. That leaves the tracked ecosystem steadier over the latest day but smaller in dollar terms than a week earlier.

Dollar TVL changes combine asset-price effects with changes in tracked balances and methodology. They are not a direct measure of fresh inflows. Address activity does not establish unique user numbers or buying demand, either. These observations add ecosystem context without proving either analyst’s price forecast.
Different Benchmarks Leave Bitcoin Bulls With Separate Tests
The two analysts are addressing different questions. Van de Poppe is assessing a broader allocation cycle against gold; Crypto Tony is watching a near-term rebound in a perpetual-futures market. Neither view removes the need to distinguish a bounce from a durable reversal.
For the spot market, the immediate evidence remains a narrow Saturday range after a substantial midweek decline. The next useful confirmation would be a sustained recovery of lost levels, rather than treating a bullish social-media outlook as proof that selling pressure has ended.
