A crypto deposit confirmed but not credited means the blockchain record and your exchange balance need to be checked separately. A successful on-chain transfer does not, by itself, prove that the receiving platform has accepted the asset, matched it to your account or completed its deposit checks.
Start with the transaction hash, the network used and the receiving exchange’s current deposit instructions. Avoid sending the same amount again just to test whether it will appear.
Check the transaction on the correct blockchain explorer
Open the transaction from your sending wallet or exchange and inspect its explorer link. Compare the recipient address, asset, amount and network with the receiving account’s deposit details. For tokens, check the token contract as well as the ticker. BlockBriefing’s blockchain explorer guide explains how to read the record.
Coinbase’s troubleshooting instructions recommend checking the address, network and explorer details when a transfer is missing. A completed withdrawal on the sender’s platform does not settle every question about crediting on the receiving platform.
Compare confirmations with the exchange requirement
A transaction can be included in a block before it reaches an exchange’s required confirmation threshold. The required count depends on the platform, asset and network. Kraken publishes asset-specific deposit processing requirements and directs users to its status page for delays.
Read the current requirement instead of applying a universal waiting time. BlockBriefing’s transaction confirmation guide covers the underlying concept.
Check deposit eligibility and account details
Kraken’s missing-deposit checklist includes the supported network, minimum deposit, destination tag or memo, address validity and maintenance status. Those checks are useful starting points, but each receiving platform sets its own rules.
- Confirm the asset and network are supported for deposits, not merely listed for trading.
- Check whether a memo or destination tag was required.
- Compare the amount with the current minimum.
- Review the platform’s deposit history and official service-status page.
If the network was wrong, use the receiving platform’s official recovery process. Recovery depends on the platform and circumstances. See our wrong-network recovery guide for the separate issues involved.
Prepare a clear support request
Once the relevant requirements appear to be met, contact support through the official app or website. Provide the transaction hash, asset, network, amount, receiving address and time sent. Include the deposit status and any required memo. Keep screenshots free of passwords, recovery phrases and other account secrets.
Describe the discrepancy precisely: βThe explorer shows a successful transaction, but my exchange deposit history has no corresponding credit.β Ask which requirement or review is outstanding. A transaction hash helps support investigate; it does not guarantee that an unsupported deposit can be recovered.
Frequently asked questions
Can I speed up a deposit that is already confirmed?
Check what is delayed first. A network transaction and an exchange’s account-crediting process are separate. A blockchain accelerator cannot resolve a missing account memo or an exchange review.
Does confirmed mean the deposit is available to withdraw?
Not always. Kraken distinguishes deposit statuses, including cases where trading availability and withdrawal availability differ. Check the receiving platform’s own definitions.
Should I pay someone who promises instant recovery?
Use the receiving service’s verified support channel. Never share your private key or recovery phrase with someone offering to credit an exchange account.
This guide covers troubleshooting steps, not a guarantee of crediting or recovery. Platform rules and supported networks can change.
